Coaching sessions and Capacity building activities are planned to be provided for the selected stakeholders in Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro on the theme of the shared heritage of Kullas.*
*Kullas are vernacular fortified buildings that can be found all across the Western Balkans.
Some coaching sessions were already held in Gjakova/Kosovo on 07-10 October 2019, to assess the local needs and the level of capabilities in order to best prepare capacity building modules. Additionally, they served to foster a first interaction and co-creation among the consortium and local stakeholders to increase impact of and advance understanding on heritage-led innovations and diplomacy. During these days, local experts were consulted and jointly developed and set-up the capacity building agendas in accordance with the regions needs and challenges. From March to October 2021, some Capacity Building modules shall be held in Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo, touching upon three main themes that serve one end joint purpose, that is developing shared strategies for the re-use of Kullas and applying for cross national nomination for UNESCO enlisting of Kullas.
The summer online capacity building module will be held online from 12-14 July 2021. This training will gather professionals of the field of cultural heritage, anthropology, ethnology and related fields from Kosovo, Albania and Montenegro, who together will discuss and analyse the methods of mapping intangible values of Kulla. The training will also offer a series of practice case studies of intangible values mapping in the world.
