The Heritage Alliance releases a new report demonstrating the importance of heritage organisations, buildings and places in underpinning the creative industries.
This report includes three sections:
1. A brief overview of the importance of the relationship between heritage & the creative industries and the evidence for why it matters;
2. A set of case studies to illustrate the breadth of ways heritage underpins the success of the creative industries;
3. A discussion of the successes and barriers for creative heritage projects, with some recommendations for how to overcome these.
The Inspiring Creativity, Heritage and the Creative industries report, sponsored by The National Trust, Moment Factory and Kinver Business Solutions, and written by Hannah Shimko, makes recommendations for building on the collaborative effort of the creative industries and heritage sectors to continue their fruitful partnership.
